I've got a simple but very serious question about idiot boy.............
...I've been trying to figure this one out for quite some time now and just can't get my head around any of this.

Not all the crap going on is due to idiot boy's handlers. I mean this fool has his head already made up about some things and for me that's scary as hell. This guy is convinced he's right and the rest of the world is wrong.:wow: The dam fool is even willing to start WW III and smirk at the world doing it.:grr:

The question though is how do we successfully battle against a thing like idiot boy when he's convinced he's doing God's will? Let's face it reasoning doesn't work with him:banghead: - he's convinced he's doing the right thing. So what do we do and how do we do it??

Please, no jokes:hug: or sarcasm because I'm totally serious about this.

1. Very good question, I think. Was afraid to ask because the replies would..
be that I should demonstrate and vote. Well, if he doesn't listen to other people and rigs the votes there not much that can be done, except to hope the military tells Bush to take a flying leap.

13. Sounds like we've been thinking along the same lines then because.........
.....this is exactly what I'm trying to say.

The situation we find ourselves in today reminds me very much of the Crusades. Them idiots thought they were on a "higher mission" to "bring the to god". Now someone has got to tell me how you battle against that when rational talk does no good and every other word our of idiot boy's mouth is about this "war on terror" of his.

I obviously don't have the answers but be assured at least one person out here understands what you feel and why.

2. Impeachment
Is probably the only thing that will stop him. We need to apply pressure to our Congressmen/women to impeach the cockroach for his lies over WMD, his treason over the Plame scandel and his leaking of portions of the NIE.

3. Only when the fears of the rest of the entire GOP party get so strong
as in bush's follies will destroy their party (more than losing a couple of congressional/senate seats), and that in the wake of that destruction a whole lot of cronies will lose their access to power/money/etc or worse that in the absence of the GOP - a more european political generation will emerge (sparking fears of *gasp* socialism) - will the powerbrokers work against JR to constrain his actions. We are a long way from that point. Sadly. And it looks like he may act before they get to that point.

7. So basically what you're telling me is that we simply get to...........
....watch the world not so slowly go to hell until neocons/fundies have finally have their fill? Then when they finally wake up things might change??:wow:

I hope my response doesn't sound like I'm angry or upset in any way with you because I'm definitely not.

I'm truly trying to understand this :dilemma: but it's depressing at best and at worst it's down right scary.

4. Some Evangelical Leader.....
is going to have to have a little talk with Sonny Boy. Until now he's been listening to the likes of Robertson, Falwell and Dobson. Some SANE Evangelical is going to have to get his ear and explain to the idiot child that his time-line of when the world should end might not necessarily overlap god's time line.

I don't believe in religion at all, hence the FSM picture in my posts. But I think that's the only way to reach this delusional nit-wit.

6. Good idea in principle, but...
...I think the flaw in your argument lies in the two words "sane evangelical." As far as I know, such a beast doesn't exist.

9. OK, this actually sounds like it might work so where do we................
......find this person? What kind of characteristics do we look for? I'm open for suggestions here.

I'm serious, I'm truly :scared: of what idiot boy might pull before he's stopped.

15. Could be he just used the God thing to get voted in?
He really does not act like a Christian or ones I have known. Then of course it maybe that his base is just his type of Christian. I have spent the last 5 years wondering just when people are going to see how silly this all is yet they still think they are right to bomb any one off the earth to make their point. All sides of these religious nuts do. So I guess I have not moved one foot a head. So I end up just where you are. What do we do with some one that seem to be able to start wars at will?

5. Sounds like a post from July 2001...
Get off the computer - go out in the world and do something...

One problem with DU (and all poli-forums) - we fool ourselves into thinking posting here is actually doing something...

But there is no substitute for getting out in the real world and acting.

Go learn spanish - and drum up some votes!!!

10. I talk to people in person all the time and yes I've been known...........
....to win a few over from the dark side too. What I want to know, and what you apparently totally ignored, is how do we battle against people who won't listen anyway? These idiots think they are right and think they are on a mission to carry out work that the lower classes can't possibly understand. So again, in all serious, and without any preaching or sarcastic orders I ask how do we battle against someone who is convinced they are right from the very beginning??

12. Just vote...and get others to vote...who cares what they think...?
Don't be bothered by it...

That's what's nice about elections - you dont need 100% percent to win...

If you approach them as "idiots" in a "battle" - you will never get through to them...and, in fact, you will likely only strengthen their resolve/position.

14. I'd agree with you if it weren't for the "elections" part, we.............
have little machines these days that change votes and count only the votes that it wants to count. So I haven't got much faith in "elections" anymore.

8. I'm afraid the only hopeful or even vaguely reliable course of action

...is not reproducible here, and is in any case highly questionable.

But I rather suspect some military types have had the aforementioned course of action trotting round their brains like a perky little mustang for *some time now*, wondering which side to mount it from...

If it's looking like this guy's just gonna start randomly nuking anyone who says nasty things, that is it, frankly, game over. Why would anyone just sit there and let themselves get nuked?

11. People have been known to do some of the damnedest things................
....when they heard "that higher power calling". That is what I'm referring to here, idiot boy seriously thinks he's on a mission and I'm trying to figure out how to break through that "mission" wall and actually talk some sense into the closed minded :freak:

22. The really BAD part is this

A lot of the really IMMENSELY stupid people on the far right who are now *quite* far OUTSIDE the world of human beings and Planet Earth are comparing the possibility of nuking Iran with the nukes dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, ignoring the fact that those nukes were dropped on a country whose army was already losing a war and was overstretched all over the place.

And Georgie Porgie Puddington Pie is boy-man fool enough to listen to them and do what they think cos they love him so and he's a shitbird wank-stain.

Yes, I concur, he's a Revelationist.

If he actually DOES do this, we're looking at Christianity becoming as reviled as Nazism this century.

in control of both the House and Senate. We MUST get Dems elected in November---THAT is the answer.

17. United States Military Oath of Allegiance
I, {insert name here}, do solemnly swear, (or affirm), that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God. (Note that the last line is not required to be said if the speaker has a personal or moral objection)

18. The only thing I can think of is to continue to put pressure on Dems and
Repugs in Congress to start doing their jobs. I don't know what they're waiting for. We are well past the point of having enough evidence to impeach Bush. The war in Iraq was based on lies. Lies that the President knew were lies before going to war, yet he did it anyway. The evidence continues to mount on this. There was no reason to go to war, and he did it anyway. That alone is enough to impeach.

Now on top of that we have the CIA leak issue. Classified or not, the President has pretended to not know who leaked the information ever since it happened, all the while knowing he was the responsible party. Again, that alone is clear reason to impeach. He has intentionally deceived the American people, and allowed a federal investigation to continue, which is a waste of time, resources, and money.

We must call, write, and stop by the offices of members of Congress to express our unhappiness over their lack of motivation to protect the Constitution. We must put it on their level, and place the blame for non-action directly in their laps. We must tell them if they don't act, they are just as guilty as anyone else in the lies and illegal activities.

When they realize that they, personally, have something to lose they will do something.

19. Religion, MSM, PR firms and corporate money.
Now, that's actually in reverse order.
Corporate money is buying
PR firm work to curb and direct the
main stream media and
religion.

Religion has been set up to be against abortions and gays. Anytime mentioned, the set becomes code for Rs are good and with nothing else said: Ds are OMITTED meaning bad.

What George knows is that anytime he mentions religion his base strengthens. He doesn't have to believe in it more so than that he used it to quit drinking for a while.

When it comes to religion, we need to create code. Religions will support us. We need sermons on helping our neighbor when beaten, naked, in a ditch (Sounds like Katrina?). Just a suggestion. With concerted effort, I think we could be very successful here.

Religion is also set to be fearful of being silenced in our huge huge government. Here I disagree in method with most all DUers. But, I see it as part of the road to success.

(My basic premise is that Separation of Church and State should be BUILT not MANDATED.)

Calling names like saying there are no sane evangelicals is not and will not be productive. It will not lead to success.

24. Trust yourself.
When the time comes, you will know what to do. Seriously.

Watching the clips of *'s public appearances over the past few weeks, it seems clear he's coming unhinged. He wasn't all that tightly wrapped to begin with, and who knows what sort of a delusional state he's in right now? Or how he will react.

The GOP and the Religious Right and the Corporatists and the Neocons have been having their merry fun for some time now. They are all using each other to try to gain the upper hand. Some of those alliances will be breakable under the right conditions.

What we don't know are what will constitute the right condition to break any of these alliances. So I have to agree with the poster above: keep pressuring your elected representatives, the press, and anybody else in power in any legal and peaceful way you can dream up.

I don't know if the dam will suddenly overflow or if we're going to have to worry those small cracks open.

When we get a clear opening, however, what needs to be done will likely be clear.

Until then: courage.
