MINNEAPOLIS - A Minnesota reservist who spent the past eight months in Iraq was told he couldn't board a plane to Minneapolis because his name appeared on a "no-fly" list as a possible terrorist.

Marine Staff Sgt. Daniel Brown, who was in uniform and returning from the war with 26 other Marine military police reservists, was delayed briefly in Los Angeles until the issue was cleared up.

The other reservists arrived at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport as scheduled, but instead of immediately meeting their families, they waited on a bus for Brown.

"We don't leave anybody behind," said Marine 1st Sgt. Drew Benson. "We start together, and we finish together."

Brown arrived more than an hour later.

"A guy goes over and serves his country fighting for eight or nine months, and then we come home and put up with this crap?" Brown told the St. Paul Pioneer Press upon arrival.

I can't say I am surprised. I get that crap everytime I fly. Military service, even service on the damn HILL, doesn't get you off the hook, which says something about the SHITTY DATABASE they are using!!!!

See, I am a victim of that list. It's brutal and annoying. And I have a name that is quite close to a GOP bigwig, who, I notice, never gets stopped -- probably because he rarely flies commercial.

Ted Kennedy gets bagged too, as do many people with MOORE in their name. Apparently, there is some clown on the list named Edward Moore, and that's their excuse for failing to recognize the most visible senator on the Hill. Go figure!

5. Me too.. I always get hassled.. It's so strange.. I'm the most

non- threatening person you'd ever want to meet, and it even trips the counter people out.. (I'm 5' tall and not even 100lbs. soaking wet..) We'll be chatting, I hand over my ID, they type it in, and the look on their face is priceless.. Then it's like a total shift of attitude, and they are scanning me up and down trying to size me up.. They get my ticket, write a great big S in red ink with a circle around it, and hand it to me.. Every time I fly it happens.. The last flight I took was from Dallas to Tampa, and it was a nightmare.. I always got searched before, and I tried to be cool because I was used to it, but that last flight was just too much.. They took me to a separate room from the rest of my party, made me sit there by myself, and questioned me over and over again.. They sent the rest of my party on, and told them they had to get on the plane without me.. Then they strip searched me, and I missed the flight I was supposed to be on, and had to catch the next one.. I haven't tried to fly since that flight from Dallas.. I've never been arrested in my life, and I've never been in "trouble" of any kind.. I do though belong to an anti-war group, and our meetings are at a Friends church.. Guess that's my qualifier.. I know it's not a name mix up, because I have a very unique name..
