Pennsylvania Offers Small Wind Power Systems Free of Charge

The Pennsylvania Energy Development Authority (PEDA) is looking for a 15 municipalities, public authorities or school districts to generate a buzz about alternative energy.

Recussitated by Governor Edward Rendell after years of inactivity, PEDA has awarded a $193,000 grant to Southwest Windpower to place 15 small, advanced technology wind turbines in highly visible locations across the state.

Each of the turbines will generate enough electricity to power a typical residence and the governor hopes they will get people thinking about adopting alternative energy sources in their homes and businesses.

I probably won't have any thinking politicians much longer. I was convinced on election night 2004 that Specter was going to lose. The exit polls and the reports from at least half the precincts had his challenger winning and then all of a sudden he came back and won. Kerry won the State but who knows who or what will be counting the votes in November.

Rendell is also a shameless Eagle fan. He's from Philly- a former Mayor I think, and he's on all of the sports shows during Football season. He seems like a nice fun person too.

Governor Doyle, here in Wisconsin already has told business that by 2010 - 10% of their energy has to come from renewable sources...but I want more done...
