1. Looks like there won't be anything in open court, just a report
supplied.

As for nothing else being filed, they have until 4:30 P.M. (or possibly 5:00) today, and often the filing doesn't get into the electronic system until the next day.

11. When two adversarial sides start agreeing...
there is usually a plea in the works.

13. Sometimes.
But in discovery motions, there can be agreement between both sides on what will be turned over and when. They have filed a motion on agreement on discovery before. I would think that while it is possible there is a deal, it may not be about a plea.

But, one never knows. Teddy will have to deal with Fitzgerald at some point. And the White House wants the bleeding to stop.

7. If the parties agree...
on all the fine points, then a joint status report can be filed instead of taking up the Court's time with a pre-trial proceeding. BUT, it sure would be an interesting development if a plea has indeed been reached!

10. Could the WH have requested that Libby's lawyers stop filing motions
that they originally expected to make Fitzgerald look bad, but which backfired BIG TIME because he took the opportunity to eek out little hints of what he knows, which otherwise he would have had to remain silent about?

Tangling with Fitzgerald is not a smart thing to do, imo.

He has said that he likes to study people, that it is necessary to have a feel for people with whom he will be inter-acting in a criminal case. I have no doubt he knows each and every one of these crooks better than anyone by now.

There were also reports that Libby was seen at the WH recently, but when asked, a WH spokesperson was 'unaware of whether or not that was true'.

Otoh, the WH may have advised Libby to accept a plea, after which Bush will pardon him. This would stop the flow of information coming from all those pre-trial motions and they are only likely to increase.

a conviction?

with any serious grasp of the case discussing pardons now.

18. That's what I thought, but someone reminded us last week that Poindexter
(I think it was Poindexter) was pardoned by Bush Sr. before there was a conviction. Maybe someone with more knowledge of this can verify it.

had re-arranged the motions on CIPA. The first motion was for 3-17; the response on 4-5; and the reply is scheduled for today.
