Maybe the reason nothing sticks to this admin is because there's too many
scandals to focus on.

3. That's Rove Strategery™
Throw a whole lotta shit up in the air
to create confusion and dilute scrutiny
on their crimes & evil deeds.

4. I think that is a large part of it and something like the Cunningham
scandal and the way it links to Abramoff is very technical and confusing. I think that is why the Enron scandal did not get traction despite the easily identifiable horror of having a corporation steal your pension, what you had worked most of your life for, and what you depended on for survival. Still can't understand why the sheeple didn't rise up in outrage over that at least since corporations getting away with stealing your pension REALLY IS LIFE-THREATENING - Same with the airline industry and others stealing pensions.

One poor man wrote the WaPo that he had been laid off just before retirement age so his pension was much smaller than he expected, then, as the Post was currently reporting, the airlines were allowed to steal his whole pension.

5. Thats true and
they have an echo chamber that repeats , repeatedly.

We, on the other hand, talk about it for a couple days and then it dies.

We should focus on a single damning incident and drive it into the ground. Maybe then, theyll stick.

They also have a network of media that are good at trying the shame game. They say were out of touch or we are extremists that should be ashamed of this or that ...and we buy it/.

8. the topic of my 1000th post
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=104&topic_id=5591674

For my 1000th post, can we list all the scandals for this adm?
I suppose that the most frustrating component of the Bush Administration is the sheer number of scandals associated with Bush,Cheney,et al.It's easy to lose track of the multiple conflicts of interest, scandals, security breaches,screw-ups,crimes against Americans, treasonous acts, impeachable offenses, etc. Can you help me compile a list of these for future reference?I love each and every one of you at DU.You all contribute to this board with your individual gifts, and together,it is<usually> a beautiful thing.Thank you all.

9. Jesus and that was back in December - how much has happened since? People
are already forgetting that our Vice President who ADMITTED to drinking SHOT A MAN IN THE FACE and failed to report it for AT LEAST a day (possibly 2). The leak is now being pushed aside for the bio-labs. Oh GOD when will it end??

14. I think it's because we don't have....
enough time in between scandals to follow one to completion. I tell myself all the time to get a grip...and not go willy-nilly all over the place...but I never listen. It's like cooking thanksgiving dinner..all those pots!.:hi:
