New NBC-WSJ Poll numbers for Chimpy? (37% approval)
The Today Show flashed this at the top of the screen this morning with a current (April) date, but I can't find this anywhere online. It would be significant in showing that the "Lying Leaker" revelations have not made a dent -- last month's approval was 37%.

As the round of numbers come in, if they do not show Chimpy's approval further eroded, it means the great epiphany the public should have had-- that the poor Chimp was not mislead by 'bad' intelligence, but was rather the misleader-in-chief (which we at DU knew from the start), dsclosing national security secrets selectively to trash an opponent who was correctly revealing the President's deception and intent to get us into an unnecessary war at all costs--- did not happen.

The issue that may have had a far more devastating impact on public perception of Chimpy is the UAE Port deal... which is WHY I don't understand why the news of another UAE deal, on the news briefly yesterday, sank like a stone. where is that story? I haven't seen Dobbs this week. Is he on it?

3. One of three people
are still not paying attention,
How many people with only cellphones get polled?
How many homeless people get polled?
How many people are so disgusted they wont even answer the polls

2. All the saber-rattling over Iran has gotten certain people drooling again
The "let's-commit-more-war-crimes" crowd is getting back on board the Shrub bandwagon.

4. the base ain't gonna shift. Dems and Indies have long since jumped
ship. And they won't be back. But the bottom is the bottom, and we're at the bottom. It might even look like the numbers go up occasionally, but that's going to be margin of error--unless there's another attack on US soil. Also, if there's actually a cellar below the basement on these numbers, it won't show up right away. News from yesterday is too recent.

5. i think more sales of US companies to the UAE can erode his base
judging from the screeching and cage rattling over at Freak Republic when the Port deal was disclosed... his approval numbers dropped pretty significantly at that time, and that didn't come from the middle or left.

I don't think the CIA-Leak and related revelations are going to do more damage... his base has his back on this. However, as I said, the dealing away of US companies related to national defense or security operations to an Arab government is a matter his base will not accept.
