The President to deliver 2006 commencement speech at the Univ of Texas
President Clinton, that is. At his last speech in 2003 the demand for tickets was so high that the speech had to be moved to a larger venue.

1. Hell, I think they'll love hearing Bill Clinton address them. Clinton is
an avid learner and surrounded himself with people who could enhance his knowledge and awareness of the world.

An excellent choice for a commencement address.

It would have been insulting to graduates to ask them to listen to an address by Dubya. A gathering of men and women who have spent some years of their lives getting an education should not be forced to listen to a president who can't read or talk.

2. WHEW!
Had me going there. Buschco would be booed out of Austin if he showed up to do a commencement.

9. Wouldn't they just find the graduates who support him?
They may even go as far as pulling graduates from other schools, to make it look like he has huge falling.

10. That wouldn't be a UT commencement then
.. but of course that wouldn't matter to dubya. UT grads are pretty liberal. They might even boycott. Fortunately the UT administration knows better than to invite the moron. He didn't even go to his daughter's graduations, did he?

5. You sure can.
"A school spokeswoman said the commencement event is open to graduates, their families, invited guests and members of the media."

All you need is for a graduate to invite you. ;-)

6. 41 and 42 will speak during Tulane's commencement 13 May
Clinton and Bush are together again. Do they need to get a room? I don't know what the logistics will be, maybe they'll do a ventriloquist show with george sitting on Bill's lap. I heard President Clinton (then Governor Clinton) speak a few times. An incredible orator!!

7.  I was worried for a second.
We have UT grad friends. The thought of them having to listen to * is depressing.

11. You got me.
I was ready to bust out my sign and head down to the campus for the shout-down.

I think George's days of public appearances in Austin are over.

12. I Might Have To Drive Over For This
That's my school and that's my president. A few beers afterwards at Scholtz' Beer Garden, and I'd call that a perfect day.....
