Don't you think there are CIA Agents foaming at the mouth from *'s comment
Everytime he claims that he is a holy truth teller and everything he ever said or says wrong is from some kind of CIA error I wonder if there are people who were personally involved being upset.

1. Oh, yeah, besides foaming at the mouth over the outing of Plame.
I think he's made many enemies.

3. Turns out he really did 'out' one of their own.
Then again, no one ever said Dimson is very bright. I'm surprised Poppy hasn't stepped in to clean up this mess.

8. I would imagine Poppy is as disgusted and
embarrassed as we are. Just another decade in the life of this failure, but we're all losing.

4. He has used this tactic since 9/11 and it's gotta come back
and bite him in the Ass...I suspect that the CIA is very bitter about losing Valarie Plame and being blamed for everythiing concerning Intellegience failures...

It will be very interesting to see this played out...

5. He's been insulting the CIA for years
This must be doubly insulting to his father, who was a CIA director and worked with the same people.

7. I'm sure they are.
He's made plenty of enemies. I don't think ticking off the CIA or FBI is a good plan. Look out shrubby. heh heh

9. Sure, it has to be true.
DIA, Military Officers - probably FBI - They KNOW.

You gotta wonder what exactly is working its way to the top here -

Scares me.

(Truth is I only really trust military officers - I THINK others would do right, but I KNOW they will - eventually - some are right now.)

Still scary -

Joe

13. Younger brother spills the milk all over the kitchen floor and
then blames his older brother.

It's that brattish vein that runs through Dubya, I guess. It's a mile wide.

There are likely a LOT of people in the U.S. government who've been there a LOT longer than Junior, and I bet you are exactly right to say that they aren't entirely pleased with being blamed for what went wrong, when so much of the skullduggery and idiocy came straight out of the offices of George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, and Don Rumsfeld.

Reading your post, I was thinking of Richard Clarke, and the dignity he has, and the believability. His years of service to our nation eclipse all 3 of the warmongers mentioned above.

14. Who do you think has been doing a majority of the leaking?....
...The last two legally elected presidents who tried to cross the CIA failed to finish their current terms...JFK in 1963, and Nixon in 1974.

17. on Real Time a few weeks ago,
Bill interviewed an ex CIA agent, the film Syriana is based on him, in fact Clooney played him in the film.

Anyway, Bill brought up the Plame case because he is personally offended that we would do that to one of our own agents. This guy said that he wasn't particularly offended by that but he said what offended him, as well as many other agents he worked with, was the fact that they got blamed for all of the screw ups regarding the Iraq war.
