Iran Bombing---Mexican Immigration |
|
Don't you find it odd that the argument is made with the question, "Yeah but are you willing to pay $5 for a head of lettuce?"
Have you heard that one?
Now with the majority of Americans favoring bombing Iran apparently they care more about lettuce than paying a potential $5 or more per gallon for gasoline should such a bombing take place.
What happened to cognitive thought in this country?

1. Not lost on me is the fact that a $5 head of lettuce is possible if gas |

prices go to $5.00/gallon and the cost of transportation is calculated into the shelf price of the grocery item.
OK, maybe not $5 per lettuce, but much more expensive.

2. I am willing to bet... |
|
...that if asked, most people in favor of bombing Iran are unwilling to pay more for food based on raising immigrant labor wages.
They aren't thinking the bombing results through very well but neither did most Americans pre-Iraq invasion.
Sometimes I get so damn frustrated with this war loving country of ours. I hate to say it but we might need a bloody war inside of this country to wake people the fuck up to the brutality of war. Instead they think it's a damn video game on TV. Fuck it.

4. Lettuce grown 3000 miles away probably should cost $5 |
|
The real problem is the disconnect with reality in the 3000 mile ceasar salad.
