1. I've only been employed two weeks.
Ask again next year. ;-)

2. I pay more in taxes now than when W assumed office.
Of course I only barely make 16 or 17 a year.

3. When W first took office we got a refund.
Then my husband's job went away and when he finally did get another (2 years later and at half the salary) we ended up owing...a LOT. Averaging $2400 OVER what was withheld. (This year it was $3000) So we're making a lot less and thanks to the tax cuts are paying a lot more.

4. I'd be content with 16 or 17 thousand a year.
But I only make $7 an hour for about 12 hours a week or so. Once September rolls around, as long as I can pay my $6000 tuition for college, plus books, insurance, and gas, I'm happy. Doing the math, it seems I'll only make a little over $4000 a year before taxes. I can't work much more without affecting my work for high school, and I doubt it will be any easier with college. I need to find a way to make some money outside my part time job.

Maybe I can find some miscellaneous summer tasks or something.

6. There was a time when a decent summer job provided enough
to have some summer fun and save enough to PAY for the next college term.. That's why kids USED to graduate in 3-4 years, and without much debt.

5. Need another choice.
Edited on Fri Apr-14-06 11:08 AM by NoStinkinBadges
I am getting a state refund and have to pay federal taxes so I could not find the appropriate choice in the poll. Went with #3 because it is like my screen name.
