Christian Group "alerts" 800,000 to boycott FORD over "pro-gay agenda"

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fl., April 14 /Christian Wire Service/ -- The Center for Reclaiming America for Christ sent out an alert to over 800,000 of its constituents asking them to sign on to a boycott of Ford. Their goal is get tens of thousands of people to pledge to boycott the financially ailing car maker. The petition, asking Ford to stop funding homosexual causes, will be forwarded to Ford before its May 11 shareholders meeting.

“If Ford wishes to disregard its values-oriented clientele, then the company should be prepared to do without our hard earned dollars, “ said Dr. Gary Cass, Executive Director for the Center. “Each of our purchases is like casting ‘dollar votes’ for the types of companies we want to support. Unfortunately for Ford's dealers, employees, and stockholders, Ford Motor Company is no longer worthy of our support.”

Several weeks ago, a coalition of 44 pro-family groups sent a letter to Ford Motor Company Chairman Bill Ford urging him to stop the company's aggressive support of the homosexual agenda. Regrettably, Mr. Ford refused. Not only did Chairman Ford reject the request, but he has since become even more committed in his defense of the company's pro-homosexual policies.

A measure was recently introduced that would allow shareholders to decide for themselves whether the company should change its policies concerning promoting homosexual causes. Ford tried to keep the measure from coming before their stockholders, but the SEC blocked Ford’s effort. Now Ford is urging all shareholders to support the company's pro-homosexual policies.

The Detroit Free Press recently reported that Ford Motor Company "donates hundreds of thousands of dollars to homosexual groups, sponsors gay pride parades, and holds mandatory diversity training for employees."

5. No 800,000 will consciously choose not to buy

their tanks. Soccer moms in army humvees is so last year. I think this group is going to try to astroturf the consumer crisis that Ford is currently experiencing. They'll use it to fake support when Ford's sales continue to plummet.

Ford will be the downfall of Ford. And it won't be because they support the :gasp: "gay agenda". It's because they placed all their eggs in marketing cement trucks to families of 4 or less and called it convenience.

talking about when they blast the "homosexual agenda". Has there been a big homosexual membership drive lately that I haven't heard of? :sarcasm:

Or are these fundies referring to the fact that a segment of our population wants to enjoy the same rights and privileges that all Americans are guaranteed under our Constitution and have dared to demand these rights publicly? For all their talk of Christian love and charity, they exhibit very little of it.

8. To all who are interested...

I would like to start a group to counter these fundamentalist groups. Anyone can join. I consider myself to be a Christian, but I guess you'd say I'm a left Christian, whatever that means. The goal of the group would be letter campaigning, marches, news releases, etc. of how we are countering the fundamentalists' cruel attacks on homosexuals. I'm tired of these fundamentalists insisting that they know what is good for America and expousing their idea of family values as pure and enlightened.
