Is there any "actual" News going on today? CNN is showing a crawfish boil.
After the short footage of the little girl who confronted her attacker, after the gooey tribute to Billy Graham, after the Bear attack story...
Did the WH give them a memo to only show nice,nice-feel good stories? There is a war or two going on, political scandal, genocide in Dafur....
Isnt that "News"?
My News-journalist Dad is spinning in his grave at the sad and deteriorated outlet that we call the media.

I wish that George Soros, Ted Turner and other rich progressives would buy one of these networks and show the damn NEWS!

2. Friday afternoon is a crap time for news in general
I mean i agree that they do show a lot of crap even in Primetime - but Friday afternoon is basically considered a gutter time - nobody cares about the news because they are all worried about their weekends.

8. More of the party line eh Bryant?
More sweeping generalizations?

Do you think that during the Battle of Britain that folks in England didn't much care what the news was on Friday because of the weekend? Does the mere fact that is Friday absolve American media of any responsibility for reprting news?

11. No it doesn't absolve them.
But it does explain why watching the news on Friday afternoon isn't the best judge of how the media is doing.

Who is watching news on friday afternoon?

3. In Milwaukee - we're sitting on a potential time bomb.
Jury is still out for the Frank Jude beating case.

Remember early April 1992 in LA? - it's probably not going to be that bad - but there is always a chance.

12. I love crawfish, but I'm taking a pass for this season's crop
nature needs time to heal itself, and capital enterprises can't wait that long
