21. I caught the man in New Hampshire who was assaulted by

Robert Novak during the democratic primaries. They'd just done their CNN bit in a restaurant and were coming out when my friend called Novak a "TRAITOR" over the Plame outing and Novak went ballistic and attacked the guy. and the guy wasn't small, it was an icy day (coldest winter in their recorded history) and when Novak slammed the guy my pal slipped on the ice (a solid person, bucks his own wood in the winter there) and I caught him, which didn't help my back injury a lot.

The look on Novak's face was much like the faces I'd seen when I worked in two nuthouses in my youth and I'll never forget it - he had his arm cocked back to punch my friend when he was drug off by another CNN host, pulled onto the big CNN bus. I ran over to the bus and pounded on the door demanding that Novak come out and APOLOGISE for his attack - they send some young female aide to refuse so the crowd was milling about PISSED as hell over what had happened when "bow tie boy" came wandering out oblivious to what had just happened.

When I let him know what had happened and what was he going to do about it he got all puffed up, was flapping his "beatle" hair around like a french hooker who'd just been stiffed for her pay and made statements like, "C'mon dude, he's like a 78 year old guy, what harm could he possibly do?"

So I looked Tucker in the face and said to him, "Okay, how about *I* SHOVE YOU about ten feet on this ICE?!"

Suddenly he got a look of panic in his face as he could see that I would have no problem doing just that and started inching away, like the coward that he is..

He's a wuss, and I'd have loved to take him apart with my bare hands, would have been my pleasure, but he headed for the safety of the big old CNN bus where all the cowards, including Novak were HIDING from the crowd.

Be willing to bet that even if he's not wearing a bow tie now that it's a clip on, just in case someone decided to drag him around by the neck until he cried like a baby.

Chickenshit, change your tie, but make sure you can hide when you need to.

BTW, we went down to the local police station and filed assault charges on Novak, anyone knows anyone at the SMOKING GUN they should tell them to get the papers on that and put them up on their site, but I want some credit for keeping my pal from dashing his brains out on the sidewalk :)
