OH GOD! Rumor Kathrine Harris might quit and Jeb might run instead!
I just heard this on Ed Schultz show. He's talking to some contact he has in Florida now.

1. My dad, who lives in FL, mentioned this today but I didn't
understand why. I hope Floridians have had enough of that mug; I surely have.

19. I'll say it again -- He is too lazy
The Senate requires a certain amount of work, they may have lots of vacations but can work long hours when in session.

2. Jebbie's reprehensible conduct regarding Schiavo should be
Edited on Fri Apr-14-06 04:54 PM by rzemanfl
enough to ensure his defeat if it is raised early and often.

6. I whish I could agree with you, but Jeb still seems to be very popular
with those RW fundies and the Cuban hispanics that heavily populate Fl. I don't live there, but I never hear of a lot of people griping about him.

I'm scared to death that he could be the ONE Pub who could beat Nelson!

10. I do live here. Jeb is not as popular as you think and the Schiavo
thing pissed off a lot of Republicans.

3. Was mentioned in a thread here the other day
Sounds frighteningly possible ... Do you think the BFEE would leave the candy store (D.C.) without at least ONE member of their odious clan hanging around?

4. Maybe she's thinking about the $10 mil inheritance going down the crapper
Stay in there, baby. You can win. We're all behind you. The RW really thinks you're the chosen one. Don't let them talk you out of it.

Bwahahahahahahahaha.

5. Slobberin' Jeb would be the GOP's stronger candidate, since Harris is
done for, but the worse it gets for Dubya in DC, the harder it will be for Jeb to upend Nelson.

It could happen, but I think I still like Nelson's chances fairly well.

Jeb has never written a single syllable of legislation and I just don't think he wants the job as a collaborative U.S. Senator.

12. I think Jeb! is hoping for bigger fish to fry
He'd probably win in Florida if he ran, but I'd dearly love to see him run nationally for the presidency. Maybe folks in Florida will overlook his daughter's substance abuse problems and his wife's customs difficulties, but on the national stage, I think he'd get clobbered. I hope he'd get clobbered.

14. I predict Jeb will be the Rethugnican candidate in 2008.
They would have run him in 2000 but he was too dirty.

Time has passed and now he's clean again.

16. Sad news. Jeb easily beats Nelson in polls.
They'd be stupid not to run him. But for his ego, I don't know why they aren't already.

17. Jeb said last week he definitely would not run for Senator.

It would be a flip-flop if he did. Not for his brother and not for the Pope.

But people know that Jeb's the smarter of the two compared to w. And unless the Dems have something better to offer than another DLC corporatist like the Clintons I don't know if Jeb still couldn't win it.
