In 2005, Exxon CEO Raked In 190K a Day
Average Americans are struggling to keep up with persistently high gas prices, now approaching $3 a gallon. Testifying before Congress last November, Exxon CEO Lee Raymond blamed the problem on "global supply and demand" and assured the public that "we're all in this together."

Last year, Raymond made due with "a total compensation package" of just $69.7 million or $190,915 a day, including weekends.

After his haul in 2005, Raymond has decided to retire. It's seems that, for Raymond, not working is even more lucrative than working:

Exxon is giving Lee Raymond one of the most generous retirement packages in history, nearly $400 million, including pension, stock options and other perks, such as a $1 million consulting deal, two years of home security, personal security, a car and driver, and use of a corporate jet for professional purposes.....

2. And people like him
are against raising minimum wage. Oh, did I say people? He's not human, he's some kind of ghoul, living and profiting on the labor of others. In any kind of just and sane world, this would not exist.

3. Who was the guy who said...
It's easier for a camel to get through the eye of a needle than a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven...who was that? I mean the guy's name is on the tip of my tounge...I think his name starts with a J...Oh never mind! :grr:

4. NYT has this on their front page today
http://www.nytimes.com/2006/04/15/business/15pay.html?ex=1145246400&en=cb531abdea392b73&ei=5087%0A

It's sickening.

Last year this company made the biggest profit in history by playing on consumers' fears, jacking up prices under the cover of "supply shortages".

And the head of this company makes more in a day than 95% of Americans make in a year.

Time for some "class warfare"... the super-rich are certainly making war on us, time to return the favor.
