2,372 U.S. soldiers have now died in Bush's war in Iraq.

That is roughly the same number of people that live in this town: Pelican Rapids, Minnesota.



I have been to Pelican Rapids. It's a growing, prosperous town out in the lake country of Western Minnesota. It's got a few fast-food restaurants, specialty stores, and lots of resorts located in town.

Imagine if all the people in this town died because of something the president and his administration did. Wouldn't more people be outraged??

Iraq has 23-ish million people in it; at least 100,000 have been killed.

The US population is about 13-15 times as large, right?

So this would mean that 1.3 or 1.5 million Americans killed as a result of the war.

And many more wounded.

You post this thing about the losses of American soldiers, but you're not willing to rule out slaughtering children? Interesting. As for your comparison, I live in a town considerably smaller than the one you posted about. We've lost 3 soldiers to the fuck up in Iraq. Imagine that, if you wll, in a town of under 3,000. Virtually everyone knows the families.
