Pearl Jam has a new anti-bush song out

Not all that long ago Pearl Jam was in slammed by some on the right because the lead singer stomped a bush mask onstage. This was kinda back during the Dixie Chicks blasphemy against lord bush.

I've seen threads about the Dixie Chicks new music, which effin' rocks that they're not ready to play nice with bush or the bots, but there's a new anti bush song out there by Pearl Jam too. Just wanted to pass it along...

5. A classroom of 15yo Latino immigrants sang that song to me last week

Or a least the chorus. I said the word "war" and the whole class broke into song. That was odd on its own face, but I was even more surprised that these kids had heard anything beyond 50 Cent or the latest reggaeton album.

This led to massive screaming fits about the injustices perpetrated by Bush on America and the World. We're talking about the poorest kids from the roughest backgrounds -- they know who's standing up for them and who's not, and it sure as hell ain't the Republicans. The Latino community here seems to be organizing better and better, and I've noticed the trend for a couple of years.

Too bad I'm not allowed to join in the diatribes...
