I'm going to tell him that we raised $3800+ for his PAC and I'm going to write him a really nice letter thanking him for all that he's done- ideas welcome! I don't want to forget anything.

2. Bravely supported equal rights for gay Amercians |
|
re: civil unions/marriage, when almost every other Democratic Senator is afraid to take a stand, or as Sen. Feinstein said about the issue "too much, too soon".

12. We're about to have a nasty fight in Wisconsin |
|
about an amendment to our state Constitution which will make it even harder for gay couples to have rights. We all know how this was used in 2004 to swing voters.
Yesiree, thats what Constitutions are for, making sure people who have no rights never get them. :sarcasm:

8. Feingold seems very grounded, speaks forcefully and plainly. Enjoy |
|
watching him question witnesses on the Judiciary and Intelligence committees. He is polite, but takes no prisoners.
I also admire his standing up and voting for what he thinks is right. He has the courage of his convictions. We need more like him in the Democratic party.

17. Senator Feingold defends civil liberties when no one else in Congress will |
|
He has the proud distinction of being the only vote in the Senate against the Patriot Act in 2001.
Although the Bush regime clearly should be removed from office as soon as possible, Feingold is the member of the Senate to introduce a resolution of censure. Few others are even willing to discuss the criminal and moral wrongdoing of the junta.
