"Christian Titanic Society" seeks to revert gender roles back to 1912

Contact: Wesley Strackbein, Media Relations, 210-381-6091, wesley@visionforum.com

WASHINGTON, April 14 /Christian Wire Service/ -- Doug Phillips, President of The Christian Boys’ and Men’s Titanic Society, is holding a press conference at 5pm today to call men to remember the legacy of the men on board the R.M.S. Titanic who gave their lives ninety-four years ago to save women and children. The press conference will be held in the La Salle Salon at the L’enfant Plaza Hotel in Washington, D.C.

“On April 14, 1912, as the great ship Titanic plunged into the icy waters of the North Atlantic, men sacrificed their lives so that women and children might live,” remarked Phillips. “Men gave up their spot on lifeboats to save those weaker than themselves. This legacy of heroism is one that men today should pause and consider on this anniversary of the Titanic’s sinking.”

“Men must be willing to rise above selfishness and lead,” continued Phillips. “Rather than exploiting women and children, they should seek to protect and defend them. Sadly, the principle of ‘women and children first,’ which was a hallmark of Old Christendom and the pre-Modern world, has been exchanged in our day with the humanistic philosophy of the ‘survival of the fittest’ -- the strong live and the weak die.

“At the Christian Boys’ and Men’s Titanic Society, we oppose this aberrant historical shift and charge men in our time to lead sacrificially.”

Also sharing remarks at the 5pm press conference will be Scott Brown, son of WWII flyboy Bill Brown. The elder Brown was shot down over Tokyo Bay during the closing months of the Second World War before being rescued. Scott will discuss how his father’s manly sacrifice made him the man he is today. The Brown Family’s story is featured in the newly-released documentary, The League of Grateful Sons.

“During WWII, men -- not women -- fought and died on foreign battlefields,” explained Phillips, who also served as Executive Producer of The League of Grateful Sons. “The soldiers of the Second World War embodied the same principle that the men on board Titanic did -- they died for their children and their sweethearts. They gave their lives to protect a way of life that we have all but lost site of in the twenty-first century as we have capitulated to feministic and egalitarian ideals.”

Bill Brown, along with Phillips, will be addressing the Christian Boys’ and Men’s Titanic Society Tenth Annual Dinner gathering at 6:30pm tonight at Phillips Flagship Restaurant in D.C. Phillips keynote message is entitled, “Manliness: What the Titanic Generation Had That We Must Reclaim.”

Several dinner seats are open for D.C. Press. To attend tonight’s dinner, to schedule an interview, or to obtain more information about today’s 5pm press conference, contact Wesley Strackbein at 210.381.6091.

1. let's do it like they did it in the YEAR ZERO xtian calendar time
you know the era: roman empire, the persians, cleopatra, etc.

those were the glory days for women's right by golly.

that's when "let's go get stoned" by ray charles was a women's pastime.

6. Actually women in the Roman Empire had more rights
than women for a thousand years before or afterwards.

They had the right to divorce their husbands. Widows didn't become the property of their brothers, sons or fathers- they could live their own lives. And if you got a divorce, the woman got to keep the dowry, not the man.

One reason Christianity thrived in the Roman Empire was all the rich independant widows.

I wouldn't go back and live there by choice- but if I had to be a woman in any era pre-1850s, I would live in the Roman Empire.

If we want to go back to 1912 then that doesn't sound so good for the Third Class folks.

35. Are they oblivious?
One of the most socially stratified eras in US history, due to the fruits of industrial revolution and lack of income taxes, minimum wage or labor laws.

Why would anyone want to preserve such a backward social structure?

7. "men -- not women -- fought and died on foreign battlefields,"
Keiko Sasaki
6 years old in 1945
She (Grandmother) heard from a man who escaped from Hiroshima that the city was completely destroyed by the bomb. When she heard that, she went to Hiroshima right away. When she came back after a week, I asked "Where's Mother?"

"I brought her on my back" was the answer.

I was very happy and shouted, "Mummy!" But when I looked closely, I saw she was only carrying a rucksack. I was disappointed. My sister and our neighbors began to cry. I couldn't understand why. Then my grandmother put the rucksack down and took some bones out of it and showed them to everybody. There were my mother's gold tooth and a piece of her elbow bone. I still didn't understand.

Edited on Sat Apr-15-06 11:41 PM by MnFats
I know a woman who served in the u.s. army medical corps in Italy during WWII. She worked at a field hospital that got bombed and shelled with some regularity, killing many of her friends and colleagues -- male and female. This was not an isolated incident.
F*** these assholes.

34. I think one of these guys saw a diaper
and puked his guts out.

So no more diaper changing for him. Oh no, that is a woman's job. Too gross for him. Ewwwww! Let the woman handle the gross jobs. He can't deal with cleaning toilets either, but somehow when maintenance gets paid the big bucks for larger versions of toilets it's no longer women's work.

To guys like like that women's work is work they don't want to do. Does ANYONE like housecleaning? Or changing diapers? It's necessary, but does anyone really enjoy these chores?

One of them illegaly aborted a fetus in her late 40's.

The sick twistedness of this group is rooted in a deep seated fear of (capable of measuring) females.

These 'men' are beyond sick and twisted. They let their inferiorities play out ..... and they band together.

29. No kidding. And that includes on the Titanic.
Freeperville had a thread about this and almost every comment was the equivalent of a bobbling head with such inane remarks as it's all the fault of the feminazis. At the end of the thread, someone who forgot to swallow the koolaid, remarked that:

"More first class male passengers survived than third class children."

It was great.

49. The "feminazis" have taken over everything
I guess that's why only 1% of companies have a female CEO, and women only account for 3.9% of the 4,341 highest paid executives at the 825 companies Business Week analyzed in 2000. Or why The 20 highest paid male executives averaged $138.5 million, whereas the 20 highest paid female executives averaged less than one-tenth of that$11.2 million apiece.

40. Wouldn't it be pretty to think so, as Hemingway said....
"Q - Is it true that some of the male passengers dressed as women in order to get on the lifeboats?

A - Yes, there is significant evidence and testimony to suggest that more than one man disguised themselves in order to board boats. Despite rumors created by some 1912 media, White Star Line Chairman, Bruce Ismay, was not one of them.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q - Were all of the children on board Titanic saved?

A - No. Lorraine Allison was the only child in first and second class to die. 53 of 76 children in third-class perished. "

33. Bring back discrimination!
Because we know we can't compete on a level playing field. If life is a marathon, we need a five mile head start, all of the other people have to carry hundred pound weights on their backs the entire way. AND they have to walk. We've also booby trapped the finish line so they can't cross it.

Guess what: We still come in last. The only way we can win is if no one else gets to play.
---

Let's make sure that mindset never again has the power to prevent anyone from playing. Let's make sure that mindset never again has the power to impose all sorts of restrictions on anyone's abilities.

Everyone about to plunge into an unnecessary first WORLD war of mechanized mass destruction - 20 million Europeans killed or maimed. The introduction of gas warfare, attacks with airplanes. All occurring partially due to archaic out-moded ideas abou how gender and loyalty issues worked in a society dealing with modernity.

I long for those days, too.

Fucking idiots. There are REASONS why the world is not that way anymore.

Haven't I told you folks this bunch of Robber Barons wants to take us back to the "Golden Age" of Vanderbilt, Carnegie, and in this instance, I think it'd be very appropo to mention J.
