congressional candidate and former Mideast analyst John Laesh, who incidently is running against Denny Hastert. Mr. Laesh specialized in Iran, and although he hasn't been in that post since 1999, his insight and the scenario he describes unfolding in the wake of a strike on Iran, as well as the alternatives he offers, are absolutely worth go over to Kos and reading. He posts throughout the thread and touches on some very interesting stuff. I don't know if this has been posted, but even if it has, it's worth posting again. Among other things, he confirms Hersh's story and says that Hersh has a highly placed contact in the Pentagon.

but his candidacy is not the reason this is worth reading. It's his prior experience that lends him crediblity.

3. He Makes alot of Sense To Me

The problem, which he addresses is that Bush is President. This moron cannot and will not do anything that has a chance of succeeding. He was born to be a failure and he continues that journey. We see what happens when he tries to visit other countries. Didn't we get mangos from India? Perhaps if the country could focus on getting him out of office, the politicians with a little sense could try to bring out country back to us.

4. The best way to get

bushco out, or at least neutered, is to elect people like John Laesh to Congress. If we can take over only one House in the next election, I hope it's the House of Representatives because they can initiate investigations and impeachment. It's true that if we took over the Senate we'd be able to ensure that no more wingnuts got on the SC, but we can do that even if we only add 3 Senate seats to the dem column.

John does sound like an exciting candidate! It would be really exciting to see Fat Denny get bounced on his ass & then go to trial for the crimes that Sybil Edmonds apparently has the dirt on. It would be the ultimate double dipper!

I think i shall have to get over there and donate to his campaign as soon as I have some money to give him.

7. Denny Hastert doesn't

get near enough of his share of blame. I'd love to see the dirt on him come out- and it would be nice if at least some of it came out, say in September of this year.

What they predict is fallout from a nuc hit on Iran would spread to India and Pakistan.
