1. Wow.
What surprises me, is that this does not surprise me at all. "Just when you think they've hit bottom, they whip out a shovel."

I'm just ready for it all to be over.

The Draft, Military and Financial Collapse of the U.S., Hopefully the Death Knell of the Republican Party, etc. So that we can FINALLY start rebuilding and making progress again, rather than continue watching the Repukes fuck up the country and the world.

That is, of course, if they don't end up killing all life on earth.

2. Very similar to my reaction. I think it's called desensitization.

8. No one realizes the President's genius...
Hitler lost World War II because he decided to have two fronts. ("You can't fight a two front war.") The President doesn't want to loose in Iraq or Afghanistan, so he is going to start a war in Iran, then all three will be linked into a single big front. Genius! He really is a great President!

3. Wow!
This is too bad! This president is really going to screw up mid east relations like crazy! I do not feel that we have the militaristic power that we should have in order to deal with Afghanistan, Iraq, and Iran too! :wtf:

5. Yeah, I suspected this
The war on Iran has now become practically inevitable, self-fulfilling. With the US massing a powerful military force and ratcheting up the rhetoric, Iran prepares ever more intensely. This leads of course to the terrible logic (must strike them earlier, buying them more time allows more preparation)-- I sense it's only a matter of time now before war.

I can tell you one thing, if we really do go nuts, use tactical nukes or even really extreme conventional air strikes against Iran that kill many civilians, I'll have a hard time looking at my American identity with pride. Many of my friends have already been buying up the Pimsleur, Berlitz, Teach Yourself language tapes for French, Italian or German in preparation for immigration to Europe (though for mainly economic reasons), something I'd never have dreamt of just 10 years ago. If our nation becomes a genocidal war criminal against innocents, I cannot consider myself a part of that, either.

6. This admin seems to intentionally be following the Nixon playbook
ala the "secret war" in Cambodia.

I pray that this is incorrect. On so many levels, for so many reasons I pray that this is incorrect.
