Scalia: "PROUDEST THING I have done" is not recusing self from Cheney case
HARTFORD, Conn. -- Conservative U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia had some advice Wednesday for those who questioned his impartiality after he refused to recuse himself from a case involving his hunting buddy, Vice President Dick Cheney.

"For Pete's sake, if you can't trust your Supreme Court justice more than that, get a life," Scalia said.

Scalia, addressing an audience at the University of Connecticut's law school on Wednesday, said recusing himself from the 2004 case _ which focused on an energy task force that Cheney led _ would only have given fuel to newspaper editorial writers and other detractors who have said he is too close to the vice president.

"I think the proudest thing I have done on the bench is not allowed myself to be chased off that case," Scalia said.

1. This guy's just wallowing in his own filth, isn't he?
I thought only liberal "activist" judges were supposed to be this arrogant.

How long before he just comes out and admits that bush lost the 2000 election and they appointed him to office?

3. So where does selecting an incompetent mamas boy
as POTUS fit in on his proudness scale? Or his statement that innocence is no basis for sparing a prisoner from the death penalty? Or his fuck you gesture to a reporter in church?

8. Scalia is such an arrogant jerk
I should have beat the crap out of him when I had the chance to,the other friday. Instead I just made his panties get twisted up in a knot, by saying that I have a hard time telling that he has a definition of "conflict of interest" to his face and giving the reasons why (Cheney Energy Task Force Case, Hamdan Case, and Bush v. Gore). I'm willing to bet that "get life" part is for me, I'm such a bad girl.

Swallow it down! Drink it whole serfs! Crotchy puritanical bullshit is all Scarface knows. His intellect is laughable at best.
