bodies) aren't getting the same kind of publicity. Still missing, last time I checked, were over 3000 people. And they're still finding bodies in the rubble, 7 months later ~ I wish they could get some justice. Just a simple confirmation of whether their loved ones are dead or alive, and that they could bury the dead. Any civilized society should expect no less.


How many missing children are there listed in this country every year? I was shocked when I read the numbers ~ maybe some of the time that's devoted to this one case, could be spent on other missing Americans? I do remember the lack of compassion Ms. Holloway's mother had for the victims of Katrina, when after a month of so of being 'forgotten' because of the enormous tragedy in NOLA, she was asked if she understood that people might not be as interested in the story of one person now that so many were missing.

missing people is that they aren't blond, blue-eyes white and rich. :grr:

Just a guess. I know there are exceptions, but overall, the missing people that continue to find themselves in the repeated news cycle are white.

3. The most telling moment was when Katrina had clearly

destroyed New Orleans, she was still standing in Aruba comparing
the Holloway case as another devastation.

Must have gotten alot of complaints, because she was soon in NOLA
reporting.

Now that the NOLA is so "fixed" now, there is nothing left to report
and she is back on the Natalee case.

4. I posted here before about the story of a white girl in San Antonio

who was abducted and killed by the Black father of her child and how there was little if any news about the story. The girl was found a few days after she disappeared. The black marks around her neck were still visible as she laid in her casket, makeup couldn't cover them completely. But this girl was overweight and not very pretty. She also bad a bi-racial baby. I guess these are some of the reasons why Natalee Holloway was more worthy of the massive news coverage than this poor, single mother. Her story wouldn't sell one red cent of advertising because America is conditioned that way.

nowadays, since all we get for news on any of the "news" shows is meaningless, unimportant items that have absolutely no bearing on the lives of most Americans. I've given up turning on the news shows to get the news when I wake up in the morning, because they never have any real, important news. I feel like screaming "Dude, where's my news?" Not like in the days of REAL journalists, before corporatocracy took over most MSM news outlets.
