UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN.....

Well today is the day my wife has not looked forward to. Tommorow morning I fly out of Seattle to start my new job in Montana with a regional airline she will be here until we sell our place then join me there later.

Anyhow I am going to be without a PC for a few weeks until I can get a Laptop and a internet connection thus I wont be posting until then.

Fourtuntly I will be able to keep up with the world with Obberman and I hope that AirAmerica is availble so I can get my fill of Mike Malloy and Randi.

If you have a suggestion on an affordable Laptop that I can use to watch DVDs on post it to this thread.

See you all later, Happy Easter to you all.

Randy

they appear to be lol. They could be Repuke or worse yet, bushbots.

3. I just got a new Toshiba.
Edited on Sun Apr-16-06 03:19 PM by xxqqqzme
With the rebate, it came 2 about $750. I know there are cheaper laptops but I have never been disappointed w/ Toshiba's performance, they take a lot if you R a traveling person. The first Toshiba I used was provided by my boss and we traveled all over w/ those laptops for 4 years. The first one I owned lasted 7 years. I'd still be using it if I hadn't spilled ice tea on it.

Montana is one of the few states I have never visited. I have always wanted to travel there. I hear it is beautiful. Good luck on your transition. I find moving, while a PIA, it is also thrilling 2 meet new people.

7. Time to get XM.
AirAmericaRadio on XM Radio. It's worth the $12 bucks a month.

I got a good deal on a Tao XM2Go--$150 including free 3 months paid service and free activation. It's portable w/ rechargeable battery, goes where you want to listen. Comes with both car and home kits each with an antenna. You can listen to it with ear buds in the back yard through a built-in antenna (depending on how good the signal is). You can even set it to record programs so that you can listen to them any time later.

It has a built-in FM xmitter so you just tune any FM radio to the configured frequency and you're listening. FM signal will go 20-30 feet. I have it in it's charging base in my office and point the unit out the window towards the window of my bedroom. I can receive the signal on the Sony portable radio next to my bed 30 feet away. Pretty cool, actually.

Google "Tao xm2go deal" and see if XM is still offering the discount. This unit retails for $200.00, so the bargain is well worth it.

Satellite radio is great in the car when you're driving long distance. I love listening to the old time radio shows on channel 164.

8. Movin' to Montana Soon, Gonna Be a Dental Floss Tycoon
I might be movin' to Montana soon
Just to raise me up a crop of Dental Floss Raisin' it up
Waxen it down
In a little white box
I can sell uptown
By myself I wouldn't
Have no boss,
But I'd be raisin' my lonely Dental Floss
Raisin' my lonely Dental Floss
Well I just might grow me some bees
But I'd leave the sweet stuff
For somebody else...
but then, on the other hand
I'd Keep the wax N' melt it down
Pluck some Floss N' swish it aroun'
I'd have me a crop
An' it'd be on top

(that's why I'M movin' to Montana)

Movin' to Montana soon
Gonna be a Dental Floss tycoon
(yes I am)
Movin' to Montana soon
Gonna be a mennil-toss flykune
I'm pluckin' the ol' Dennil Floss
That's growin' on the prairie
Pluckin' the floss!
I plucked all day an' all nite an' all Afternoon...
I'm ridin' a small tiny hoss
(His name is MIGHTY LITTLE)
He's a good hoss
Even though He's a bit dinky to strap a big saddle or
Blanket on anyway
He's a bit dinky to strap a big saddle or
Blanket on anyway
Any way I'm pluckin' the ol' Dennil Floss
Even if you think it is a little silly, folks
I don't care if you think it's silly, folks
I don't care if you think it's silly, folks
I'm gonna find me a horse
Just about this big
An' ride him all along the border line
With a Pair of heavy-duty
Zircon-encrusted tweezers in my hand
Every other wrangler would say
I was mighty grand
By myself I wouldn't
Have no boss
But I'd be raisin' my lonely Dental Floss
Raisin' my lonely Dental Floss
Raisin' my lonely Dental Floss
Well I might Ride along the border
With my tweezers gleamin'
In the moon-lighty night
And then I'd Get a cuppa cawfee
N' give my foot a push...
Just me 'n the pymgy pony
Over the Dennil Floss Bush
N' then I might just Jumb back on
An' ride Like a cowboy
Into the dawn to Montana
Movin' to Montana soon

Frank Zappa
