5. 10 yr old story with Conyers asking for an ethics ruling 2 yrs ago and
,since he denies it ever happened and the accusers have no proof, getting no responce.

Seems the GOP controllers of CNN are desparate to muddy his name.

13. This is a really old story
They bring it up locally every election cycle, but Conyers is so well-loved in his district, he's there until he retires. He's been redistricted, so he has less of a victory margin than the 90% he was used to getting with an all-Detroit district, but he still wins with a comfortable margin.

There are two stories that always come up about Conyers' alleged improprieties-this one, about the staff forced to perform day care work, and the one about the turkeys donated to his office a day or so before Thanksgiving that never were handed out to the poor, which was most likely a screw up by his staff. This is a guy who has been in Congress forever and these are the only scandals they can come up with.

Although, he is a 70 something guy married to a woman in her 30s. Because they're married, I guess it's not scandalous or anything.

12. Think about the (scant) coverage they gave on Tom Delay...
and compare it with this. I just recall that all they did regarding Delay was give him a forum to espouse his innocence and to blame it all on Dems. With Conyers they have set it up to make him look like a sneaky, underhanded little rotter who is playing fast and loose with House rules. Shame, shame!!

The reason they are on the witch hunt after Conyers is obvious. Just like Cynthia McKinney, he has been TOO outspoken about the corruption of the Bush cabal and, not only that, he has led several independent investigations that foreshadow the "I" word. He is just getting too close to the rotten core and the admin. has sicked their patrol dogs on him.

SHAME ON CNN...

The bias in this matter just REEKS!!! :grr::mad::grr::argh::puke:
