I Mailed Off My Federal Income Tax With Two Stamps
I forgot to buy those "Bring The Troops Home Now" stamps with which I wanted to mail off my check to the U.S. Treasury for my federal income taxes, so I used a "Curious George" stamp and a "Wilbur the Pig" stamp from the 'Favorite Children's Book Animals' series. The monkey for Bush and the pig for Cheney.

Way too subtle, I know, but it was the best I could do on short notice, since I forgot to buy the Peace stamps. And yes I'm aware that the symbolic connection is an insult to Curious George and Wilbur the Pig, both fine individuals.

Let's see... The Wild Thing monster is Rumsfeld, the other pig, Maisley, is Rove. The worm (really the Very Hungry Catepillar) could be any of them, but I'll say, Scott McClellan. Hmm, need another pig for Libby, because he's squealing now, sort of. Condoleeza, hmm, who's the mouse/rat? Or is she the Fox (as in sneaky and sly, not attractive) in Socks (new $1000 shoes). Well, you get the idea.

1. I did ours via direct depost this time.. I filed on 4-9 and it's already
in the bank Woo-Hoo.. It's definitely worth the extra money,,

Last year I forgot to attach w-2's so they sent it back and we had to re-send it. I always sent them sertified so they had to sign for it and could not say it was late..so without having to make all those copies, and pay postage, it was not all that expensive..I have wasted much more on slot machines :)

2. I deliberately waited to the last minute this year, because...
I owed basically the same amount (A LOT) to the federal government, as the state owed me (A LOT). I filed the state electronically and the refund showed up just in time for me to send this check off.

3. One difference between Bush and Curious George
Bush is InCurious George.

He doesn't know and he doesn't give a shit (well except when spying on your conversations - then he cares a lot).

BTW, wasn't Bush "reading" that "Hungry Caterpillar" book at some school a while back? Maybe that and the monkey would go well, but I agree that Cheney is a pig so that works also.

4. Well, Curious George has been used as a caricature of Commander
Cuckoobananas because of the similarity in appearance and the irony of the idea, just because he ISN'T Curious George. It would have been funny if there was a "My Pet Goat" stamp included in the series.
