1. LOL, not one bit. The outcome is already certain.

BushCo gets the oil, and permanent bases.
All the war money is stolen by corrupt friends of BushCo.

Was it appropriate to go into Iraq in the first place?

That we may never know, but currently I dare say the answer is "no". No WMDs, no liberation, and I support our troops, but it all just doesn't matter.
