And I agree that record is irrelevant on April 17, but neverthe4less, the mets currently have the best record in baseball. They also have the hitter with the highest batting average in the major leagues, and martinez is pitching for win #200 tonight. Whether any of this cashes out for them in the long season is another thing, certainly, but they can't be said to suck now. In fact, they're playing quite well. Unlike the 5-7 Phillies, I might add.
