Operation Rescue Rummy
All hands on deck! Operation Rescue Rummy is in full motion!

<<snip>>

We’re hoping to get the Captain and Tennille to remake their song, Muskrat Love, as a tribute to Rumsfeld’s transformation of Iraq into a land of freedom and opportunity.

The proposed lyrics go something like this:

Muslim Sunni, Muslim Salaam

Do the voting thing, down in Baghdad land

They don’t linger

With their purple finger

Muslim Sunni, Muslim Salaam

Thank the U.S.A. getting rid of Saddam

Now they fi-ight.

Cause Salaam’s a Shiite

And they whirl and they swirl

and go bang-o

Doin’ the civil war tango

Yet, thankin’ all the heavens above

It looks like Rumsfeld Love

3. The Captain isn't dead...I used to work for him.
The Captain used to own a recording studio in Los Angeles called "Rumbo Recorders." It was (is) a very well known studio used by a lot of big name bands. (Guns n' Roses recorded "Appetite for Destruction" there and John Mellencamp built his home studio based on Rumbo's studio B.)

I am happy to say that the Captain is alive and well. He recently sold the studio and is living in Nevada with Toni. I know that they do a lot of cruise ship gigs...not sure what else they are up to.
