Saw that a$$#@t Neil Boortz...
...on C-Span this weekend where he was arguing for regressive tax structure and actually said, "Poverty is a behavioral disease and should be punished."

Thoughts?

5. But more an entertainer and in it for the money
I've met people who claim to know him personally and they said he doesn't believe or practice half the shit he speaks or writes about. It's all about ratings and money and keeping the phones ringing they say. I've only heard his show two or three times in my lifetime so I'm no expert on all his views.

7. So that makes him an asshat *and* an asshole
And a hypocritical parasite, to boot.

I've never heard or read a word from him that wasn't straight out of the Scrolls of High Libertarian Dogma.

9. I heard he was on the libertarians shit-list for being pro-Bush and...
...pro-war. I can't verify this though, just what others tell me.

12. God, that is even worse.
Someone spouting crap like what he said about McKinney and every single other nasty thing he has said and does it for money? Ackkkk, how in the hell do we ever get out of this spiral?

I can't imagine doing something like that. I disliked him before, now I can't even begin to fathom the disgust I feel if what you say is true.

3. I just posted this:
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=132x2574169

Sen. Mike Gravel...a Democrat...just announced his intention to run for President and he is PUSHING THE NATIONAL SALES TAX.

Boortz and John Linder (R-GA), its author, may have CHANGED THE NAME to "the fair tax," but it's still the original National Sales Tax proposal and it would decimate whatever's left of the "middle class."

4. He always talks like that! Wants a damn flat tax. I think he even
wrote a book on that. Boortz is an idiot, and Limpballs wanna be. I used to listen to him several years ago, and once in a while he even made some sense. I haven't trned his show on in more than 2 years. I did see his ugly face on cspan yesterday while I was chanel surfing. Flipped it off in less than 2 seconds too!

8. I support a Flat Tax, and here's my proposal
All assets and income in excess of $200,000 should be taxed at a flat annual rate of 95%. Assets and income below that level are exempt.

What do you think?

(That's only half :sarcasm:, by the way!)

10. Neil Boortz belongs in a mental hospital with an ass load of drugs
Barring that, he deserves to be stripped of all his wealth and to experience poverty first hand.

Then we'll listen to what punishment he thinks he deserves for it.

11. Saw that, too, on BookTV in the wee hours...
as that miserable prick was hawking his book.

All the bullshit talking points about big money buying stuff and the "Death Tax."

No facts, no real numbers, just the usual bullshit about how we're all going to be better off and the government will actually get more money if we all pay no taxes.
