Has Iran threatened us?
I'm sick of repugs acting like THE SECOND Iran gets the bomb we're going to get nuked. Correct me if I'm wrong but we're the only ones threatening to nuke anyone!

I'm serious though, have they threatened us? (other than to say we better not attack them because it will be one hell of a war)

2. yes/no
The Iranian president has said that Israel should be eliminated and that the holocaust didnt happen. So no the Iranians didnt threaten us, but there are many who seem to think a threat to Israel is a threat to the US.

3. That's not exactly a threat
To say "Israel should be eliminated" may be arrogant and bellicose, but it's not a threat. Millions of Americans thought that the USSR ought to have been eliminated, by nuclear weapons, if necessary. We didn't actually try to do it -- we spent the USSR into its demise.

Now, if the Iranians undertook to actually eliminate Israel, we'd have a serious problem.

Advocating "Holocaust Revisionism", while a favorite hobby of the ignorant, the hateful, and the naively wise-ass, is also not a threat. If anything, it makes the Iranian "leader" look like more of a fool than he already may be.

9. who knows
Ive heard a theory that the Israelis will do Bush's dirty work. Its all a bunch of fucking bullshit. Iran isnt threatening anyone and will not be the ones starting any wars anytime soon.

7. No. They haven't threatened us beyond the routine outlandish
invective that is usually meant for the benefit of their own people.
I agree that the guy is bloodcurdling, though. It seems to me that if we had been watching Iran instead of crushing Iraq needlessly, we'd have had an easier time of handling it diplomatically. But then, I think that bush was planning on this all along, and figured we'd still have all kinds of bloodlust left for Iran after Iraq.

As for Israel, I'm sure they are deeply concerned. I don't think they'd attempt an attack while everybody is focused on this issue. Besides, if it will really take awhile for Iran to have full nukes, Israel can wait and see if Ahmedinejad (sp?) falls, or gets a coronary, or bush handles it. It's to their advantage to wait.

11. No but
No but we encouraged Saddam Hussein to invade Iran in 1980. Then we armed Saddam and gave him intelligence to make sure he wouldn't lose his war on Iran (the longest conventional war of the 20th century). Now we've invaded countries literally on either side of them and have spent the last 6 years labelling them as part of an "Axis of Evil". So you see, with the consistent provocation we've given them over the past 30 years, through proxies and through piracy on their shipping and oil facilties, and with the direct threats we're making towards them now, they're bound to be a little bit hostile.

And since they're so hostile and since they're also so close to all of our defenseless troops (who're just minding their own business in Iraq and Afghanistan) that makes Iran a threat, ipso facto. Damn right we're gonna bomb them! They've resisted our attempts to destroy them, which proves their innate undying enmity towards us as Americans, and towards freedum, democracy and God.
