Roots of the Uprising (Washington Post) -re Generals speaking out:
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/04/17/AR2006041701262.html

...our forces were committed to this fight "with a casualness and swagger that are the special province of those who have never had to execute these missions -- or bury the results."

1. Clinton generals?
I love how the vast, right-wing conspiracy folks have invented the term, "Clinton general," to demonize the very people who helped Bush launch his war in the first place. They were good guys three years ago, but now they hate America. Aren't republicans silly?

8. A general in these times, would have been a LIFER soldier, and
any elevation of rank during Clinton's term would have NOT been his call anyway..

"Clinton's Army" was praised for ZERO battle casualties in the Balkans, and even the Bushies raved about how "swell" Afghanistan went..

Good armies can go bad with foul leadership in the white house...

People ragged on Clinton for Somalia, but..gee.. wouldn;t that have been Poppy Bush's & Reagan's army?? hmmmm..

False logic works both ways :)

4. Today they trotted out 4 retired Air Force generals to rebut 6 Army
and Marine retired generals who spoke out against Rummy.

Did anyone say "uh, you guys don't know jack squat about the war on the ground in Iraq, do you?!"

5. I'm waiting for the 'Swiftboat Generals' Ad campaign. 'I served with
Gen. Zinni, and he lied about his service!'

6. Gawd I'm proud of these guys (Generals)
that are speaking out for their troops!! Talk about heroes, they knew they would be hacked for doing it. Even today I heard on probably CNN, not sure, some military spokesperson mention that these Generals were lower echelon generals. Ugh
