I pray that the Democrats will take back the House but, I'm sure, some Republicans pray for the same. However, the uncertainty in our Party is not matched in the Republican Party, in my opinion. They "believe" they are going to win. We "hope" we are going to win. The difference in the "believe" and "hope" creates a certain unhealthy degree of animosity, I think. That is why I can't wait until the election is over.
Even if we lose the House, at least we will know where we stand. The reality will be much more stark. But it will focus our Party as never before to the seriousness of the battle for our country. That said, the Repubs cannot win on the issues- they did not win on the issues the last two elections. We know how they won and they plan on using the same strategy until it fails.
That is what we are fighting and which is so difficult to find the appropriate response. They run on personal attacks and we run on "issues". Issues lose every time. Americans will vote against their own interests before they will vote for an "America-hating, baby-killing, flip-flopping, homosexual-loving, feminist" liberal. That is what we are fighting against - the labels. We have the best policies and the best solutions to our problems. We don't yet have the solution to their personal attacks.
