1. I try hard not to gush
but I think he can pull this party together and we will be unstoppable. I know he is too DLC for some, but for right now, I think he can get America back. He can stop the GOP. People are LONGING for the Clinton days.

Ok, gush over.

not have the good judgment necessary for the task.

It ain't SNL

Sorry Al, its all over. Bye-bye

... Since we all know in hindsight how brilliant Donna Brazile has turned out to be :puke: ...

If he was too wimpy to stand up to his "advisors" then, he is too wimpy to do so now.

42. There are bad decisions and their are fatal ones....
Besides, if one were really onto this... you might want to examine the differences in Joe and Al's foreign policy. Maybe they aren't as different as you might think.

Maybe that is why Al chose Joe.

7. Anything and everything will come back to haunt him.
This is the GOP we're dealing with. They'll drag out his fat-with-beard pictures, they'll make hay of the Tipper kiss again, it'll all be back on the table, and it will be used to detract and distract from Al's message, whatever it may be. We need a "cleaner" candidate. That said, I'd vote for Al if he somehow made it that far. Not crazy about him, but he is a rightful heir. He won it the first time but didn't get to serve his country.

12. So who's a "cleaner" candidate?
Is there anyone a determined 'Lican operative can't smear? Hell, in the absence of facts, they'll just make something up. Anyone in opposition to the 'Licans is going to get smeared. So what? Our response will (have to) be to point out to the voters that the smears are both phony and meaningless, so let's move on to the real issues. Keep hitting on that and the smears will fade and the Atwood clones Swiftboad serial prevaricators will disappear back under their rocks.

No, Gore's baggage is one word: "Loser." True, some have come back from the wilderness to take the White House (can you spell "Dick Nixon?") but it's rare.

And the Lieberman choice, which now seems to incredibly bad, didn't seem so at the time. Joe has changed substantially (gone downhill, actually) sliding ever rightward.

I'd vote for Gore in a minute. However, he hasn't been fundraising, so even if he wanted to try again in 2008, he's way behind the power curve.

8. No. His appearance and performance was very cool
like Bill playing the sax on Arsenio's show. It humanized him, showing his sense of humor. The scene of him sitting at the desk in the oval office was poignient given the fact that he rightfully belonged there.

I can only speak for myself and some members of my family in saying that Gore winning the presidency is his destiny--he earned it and deserves it. I would vote for him over any other candidate. (I'm hoping for Gore/Feingold).

If he doesn't run, when the Dems take over the WH in 08, I say put Gore in as head of the EPA.

10. Al is diplomatic material not Presidential Timber..
After watching him fold like a cheap suit while standing at the podium
day in and day out with updates of the voter recount was enough for me.

The people woud have supported him and taken to the streets. Lieberman
dazzeled him with the notion of 'blood on your hands' guilt if he rallyed our support.

He distanced himself from Clinton, (Warrior and Chief) who was his real and only ally, imo
was poor and costly judgment in the face of adversity.

11. I believe that the citizens are waking up
and want a real human being as President, not a cardboard puppet. Everything he's said and done will be used against him but I think we're ready for change. I'll use Newt's slogan, "Had Enough?"

I want Al. I got such a rush of happiness when I read the buzz yesterday. I'm extremely worried about global warming and I believe we have 5 to 10 years to save this planet. I'm not exagerating. That's what many experts say. We need Al Gore desperately because he gets the environmental catastrophe we are facing.

knows tons about what Spurious George has done wrong. He has lots of political connections and could
put together a cabinet pretty quickly, I'll bet.

I think Al Gore has grown and learned a lot about this country since 2000. I think he has matured and obtained much wisdom. I can forgive his choice of revoltin' Joe.

I think the "decider" will be how the environment tanks between now and 2008. I don't think things will get better. I'm afraid they will get dramatically worse. Mr. Gore underestimated the ignorance of the American people in 2000 but he still won. Now I can see many of those people waking up and realizing that Mr. Gore is JUST WHAT THIS COUNTRY NEEDS. He is just what the world needs, too. A Gore/Clark ticket would be a God send to this nation and to the world.

Having said that, they will be up against all of the Corporate Might. Their job will be Herculean. I don't know if anyone can fix us now. I think Al Gore stands the best chance......if the people decide that it is time for a major change. We'll see.

:scared:
