Racist Neocons Can't Admit They Are Racist

A racist neocon told this racist joke:

"Dallas ATC: "Tower to Saudi Air 911--You are cleared to land eastbound on runway 9R."
Saudi Air: "Thank you Dallas ATC. Acknowledge cleared to land on infidel's runway 9R --Allah be Praised !!"
Dallas ATC: "Tower to Iran Air 711--You are cleared to land westbound on runway 9R."
Iran Air: "Thank you Dallas ATC. We are cleared to land on infidel's runway 9R.- -Allah is Great !!"
Pause: Static.............
Saudi Air: "DALLAS ATC! DALLAS ATC!!!"
Dallas ATC: "Go ahead Saudi Air 911?"
Saudi Air: "YOU HAVE CLEARED BOTH OUR AIRCRAFT FOR THE SAME RUNWAY GOING IN OPPOSITE DIRECTIONS!!! WE ARE ON A COLLISION COURSE!!! INSTRUCTIONS PLEASE!!!
Dallas ATC: "Well bless your hearts. Y'all be careful now and tell Allah 'hey' for us -- ya hear?"



I called him on it. Told him it was both racist and prejudiced against Muslims.

They denied that its racist!

The Neocons won't even admit that picking out people from the middle east (Iran and Saudi Arabia) is racist, even though the definition of racism clearly includes singling out by ethnic origin, as per below.

3. Actually it s not a racist joke

Islam is a religion, not a race. Misusing the term racist devalues it. Nothing in that bit of dogerel metions Arabs or Persians (race/ethnicity).

The accusation of racism is IMO overused and therefore devalues the term when it indeed happens.

8. Nothing surprising here

Assholes like Bill Bennett, Limbaugh, Savage, and the lot spew racist shit on a regular basis and then act like they are being persecuted by the PC police. And there seems to be a widely held view that, as long as you don't use the N-word, you're not being a racist.

Ironically, the only white people I have personally heard admit to being racist are liberals who are doing anti-racist work and are beginning to realize that it is ingrained. Rather than act defensive, why not try to understand the mechanisms and work to make a less racist society?
