13. There you are, lonestarnot! And a robust howdy right back.
I wish we were reconverging here under a different oil price, a better foreign policy landscape, and pro-civilian domestic agenda.

But we aren't. I'm torn between being disheartened by the skullduggery of this horrendous administration on one hand and hope and determination to flip the House of Representatives the bluest blue you ever saw on the other.

Always damned nice to encounter you on these boards, lonestarnot. I hope you're doing well.

19. Doing well myself and share the common dream of the
bluest blue the world has ever known. This situation continues to develop into more and more worrisome every day. I haven't pulled out all of my hair yet, so I guess I can take a little more. Very good crossing paths once again!

11. And yet I don't think he can sustain the illusion of a presidency.

Too many wheels have done flew off the wagon and the oxen are going opposite directions.

Bush, stubborn as they come, is going to be forced to make meaningful changes, and he ain't gonna like it much.

10. All this Urinary...i mean Unitary president has to do
is declare an emergency and freeze/lower gas prices as a matter of national security.

Wouldn't that make just too much sense?
Lower the speed limit to 55 again....Never fucking happen, that takes $$$$ out of the pockets of big Oil.

12. wouldn't work
we still have to buy oil on the open market, a global market, to provide for our needs. Why would a company provide a product at a below-market price? Even if they were willing to for a while, every small, locally owned station would be underwater in a week.

I always found it odd that we would tolerate a system that allows people to make a profit off of the human misery of others.
