DUers living in Nevada, are you freaked out by the detonation

on June 2nd of the 700 ton bomb in your state? I just talked to my son who lives in Las Vegas and he knew about it, but didn't know the exact date. He didn't seem that concerned. His exact words were: "What can we do about it?" Said in apathy, I might add.

and I have been telling him about this. He didn't know anything about it. His wife is pregnant and I am worried sick. I've been told the jet stream would take the bad air eastward and it would not affect them but I still worry.

'Divine Strake' Explosion Gets Green Light

The planned explosion at the Nevada Test Site will go on as planned afterall.

State regulators raised questioned about pollution and hazardous material from the Divine Strake blast, but state officials say they will meet Nevada's air quality regulations.

The Nevada Test Site has a blasting permit to set off a 700-ton non-nuclear explosion.

State officials say they will not block the Defense Threat Reduction agency from the experiment, which is scheduled for June 2.
