Tweety Watch: Two Mothers who lost Sons in Iraq....Don't miss it !
It's in the first 15 minutes of his show tonight. One mother is a "sweetheart" who believes everything her "Government" tells her. A true innocent soul (who just happens to read off prepared notes as she answers Matthews) and another mother whose stepson was killed and whose son is getting ready to deploy to Iraq who is a founder of a group to promote a "timetable" to get out of Iraq. She doesn't read from "prepared notes" and has points to make about Rummy that we here on DU would make...but her "earpiece" seems to have a problem with her hearing Tweets and she doesn't get as much time as the "other mother."

Still...I think what the Evil Tweets was doing was trying to show in this segment how CLUELESS half of America and those who have lost family in Iraq REALLY ARE! The mother who supported Rummy is a postergirl for what many "average Americans" think about Iraq. She was told it was "a good thing" to liberate Iraq "because Saddam supported terrorists who are in our country" and that we "had to do something about that."

In his own evil way Tweets was pointing out that many Americans still think that Saddam was the "terrorist" who was responsible for "9/11."

Watch the opening segment on the East Coast where it repeats at 7:00 p.m.

I turned Tweety off after that. I'd had enough...but it was worth the watch for that opening segment....just to see how MSNBC wants to portray "middle America views on Iraq." He, of course, NEVER MENTIONED Cindy Sheehan....

4. check this out about that deb lady!! the one reading her talking points!

http://www.villagevoice.com/blogs/powerplays/archives/0...

jasons real mom was and is against the war...so they pit this deb lady against a mother who lost her "own son"..but then bring on a step mom..well why the hell didn't they bring on Jasons real mom??????????????

this is propaganda bullshit!

snip:

Then there was Deb Meyer, a very pleasant and normal looking woman from South Bend, Indiana. Her stepson Jason Meyer, 23, was killed by friendly fire April 8, 2003 at the Baghdad Airport. Her own son Jonathan (almost 20) is at Fort Hood and ship out to Iraq in April. And she intends to sign a waiver so her youngest, Christopher, can enlist when he graduates high school; the waiver is necessary because he will only be 17. One wonders if having all these dear souls at risk bothers her. "When (Jonathan) joined, the first time he came home in a uniform with 'Meyer' on it, it was emotional," she said. "We've always been proud of all their service."

Deb thinks all the antiwar talk is undermining troop morale in Iraq. "I'm not pro-war," she insists, "just because I oppose what are saying. I don't think anyone in America is pro-war. I don't think the president is pro-war." Her brother is against the war.

*************Jason's biological mother is against it.************************* And one of Jason's biological brothers is so opposed to Jonathan going over that he's vowed to stand in front of the transport plane.

total propaganda bullshit...tell deb don't come back till its her own son who gets killed!

7. She's like the very "clueless, sweet" folks I see all around me where I
live...she's so typical that I have to give a  to Tweety for that "play."

I really do.. The way the Repugs can "plant their folks" everywhere and that the Media complies...is also interesting. But, then one could write books and books about what's going on in America today and never get it together in a way ALL could understand....:-(

if Rove wrote that himself and faxed it to her. I'm not kidding. It was pathetic on many levels.

this was a total propaganda hit piece...why did tweety not have Jason's real mom on?? why because this is a bullshit white house talking points piece of propaganda..they used this woman and she allowed herself to be used..she obviously has no self respect, nor does she have respect for Jason , her step son who died in Iraq, nor does she have respect for Jason's real mom!!

she is a fucking fraud shill for this admin...she should be ashamed!

20. Important thing about this is: Many Americans still think Saddam=Terraist!
Bush term: "Terraist" and that the "MSM" understands that "these people" are still sitting out there thinking that Saddam sent the 9/11's to commandeer the bombs and kill the Flight Attendants and the rest so that all those folks in the TWIN TOWERS DIED...all because of SADDAM!

21. What a god damn moron this woman was...
Kept looking down to read her talking points, right there in front of the people who wanted to see, then every time he asked her a question, she responded with more talking points UNRELATED to the question...Extremely unintellegent MORON!!!

In fact, now thinking about it, she reminds me of dumbass himself!!! My fuckin' president, of course!!!

SHE IS ONE OF THEM...

24. I spent Easter Weekend with folks like her.........REALLY!!!!
There are so many...and they seem as "sweet" and "clueles" as she did. In my case...my relatives didn't have an "agenda that was paid for though." And, they didn't read from "pre-prepared notes."

:-( Sadly...there are still so many "clueless" like Ms. Sweater Woman.

BTW...I'm not criticizing her sweater choice...just that she can't seem to look further than "Bells, Whistles and Symbols" for her Political thoughts and thousands will die over her "cluelessness."

25. She was so pathetic I could barely watch.
I know people say that she was reading from talking points, but a more clueless American there cannot be. Matthews was asking her questions and she had nothing to say other than a few rambling responses about 9/11 and supporting the troops.

If this woman is the best they can do to get parents to advocate for the war in Iraq, they really are doomed. Unbearable.
