for our city that number is huge and will impact a lot more than just those unemployed!

They used to lay off people in Seattle every other year just to keep them all perpetually on edge. I think they still do. There's whole segments of the community whose livelihoods revolve around providing social support for laid off Boeing workers.

Rotten way to treat employees if you ask me.
