It's time to STOP bashing Bush, and START bashing GOPers in Congress.
Bash them by saying that they are just like Bush. Bash them for all the stupid things they do. But whatever you do, be sure to bash the Republicans in both houses of Congress. We should all be concentrating on retaking one, or both houses of Congress THIS YEAR. Congress is up for re-election this year and Bush is not.
Bush's approval ratings are already in the bottom of the trap below the toilet, so there's not much sense in trying to push them further down. It's not in our best interest to try and "pile on", or punish Bush, in spite of all the bad things he continues to do. Bush's term doesn't end until 2009. We have a chance to send a whole bunch of Republican Senators and Representatives home "to spend more time with their families", THIS YEAR. With it, we can overtake one or both houses of Congress.
We have a historical opportunity before us. All indicators point towards Democrats having a chance at sweeping the GOP out of power. We can impeach Bush in 2007, but first we need to take over both houses of Congress THIS YEAR. To do that, we need to defeat the individual candidates. We need to seek out any and every seat that is possibly vulnerable and work our butts off to win those seats.
Further attacks on Bush won't help that cause, unless we use the opportunity to tie the GOP candidate to the sinking Bush ship.
Gather and share photos of your local GOP Congressperson with Bush Jr., Tom DeLay, Trent Lott, Newt Gingrich, or Jack Abramoff. Gather and share quotes from them praising the failed President. Especially, be prepared to point out that they have marched lock-step behind George W. Bush for their entire term in Congress. Point out that they are as responsible as Bush Jr. for all of the failures in our current leadership. It's not just Bush's fault, it's those in Congress who have abetted him too.
It's morning in America...

...MAKE IT HAPPEN!

5. "Today's Republican Party" should be the meme.
"Today's Republican Party" is corrupt.
"Today's Republican Party" is paranoid and ineffective.
"Today's Republican Party" is out of touch.
"Today's Republican Party" is the party of spend a fortune with little to show - and have your kids pick up the tab.

etc.

Nice post.

18. The Republican Syndicate
Edited on Tue Apr-18-06 10:28 PM by Old and In the Way
Why doesn't the Syndicate run people with integrity anymore? Hard to run a crime Syndicate if you promote honest people. When Republicans put a guy like Tom DeLay in charge, you know what Republican values are important: self enrichment at the expense of the commonwealth.

Heard the latest?

WORLD EXCLUSIVE
APRIL 17 2006--Venice,FL.
by Daniel Hopsicker

One of the two owners of the DC9 (tail number N900SA) busted at an airport in the Yucatan last week after lumbering in from Caracas, Venezuela carrying an astonishing 5.5 TONS of cocaine was appointed in 1993 to the Business Advisory Council of the National Republican Congressional Committee by then-Congressional Majority Leader Tom Delay, The MadCowMorningNews can exclusively report.

The plane's registered owner, “Royal Sons LLC,” a Florida air charter company, was at one time housed in a hanger at the Venice Fl. Airport owned by infamous flight school Huffman Aviation.

Also of major significance is the fact that photos of the DC9, seized last Monday in Ciudad del Carmen, reveal that the plane is painted with the distinctive blue and white color color scheme of official U.S. Government planes.

Moreover, to reinforce the effect, or subterfuge, the plane carries an official-looking Seal painted on its side, which reads: SKY WAY AIRCRAFT, PROTECTION OF AMERICA'S SKIES, around an image of a federal eagle clutching the familiar olive branch in its talons. Many have been fooled into concluding that the plane belongs to the U.S. Transportation Security Administration.

Maybe they were doing some serious fundraising for Tom?

6. Absolutely. Bush isn't the only problem.
The problem is the republican party and the 'religious right'. We need to make bushes failures Republican failures and we need to ensure that each and every republican in congress is tainted by the corruption of their party.

We need 2006 to be about the big picture not about individual races.

9. "Bush and HIS Republican Congress"
say it loud, say it often (tie him to them and - more importantly - tie them to him):
"Bush and his Republican Congress"
"Bush and his Republican Congress"
"Bush and his Republican Congress"

lather, rinse, repeat

16. We need to nationalize this election the way Gingrich did in 1994
We need to tie Bush together with the individual Republican congressmen and senators so that there's no mistaking how they believe.

This is going to be a very difficult election for us to overcome. Even though most people want to see Democrats take over, they will still vote for their individual Republican (they just want to see the OTHER Republicans thrown out). If you look at the individual races district by district, it looks like the Republicans will retain control of both houses. That's why we need to tie ALL Republicans to Bush, Cheney and Iraq.

with if the people in Wash on BOTH sides would do their damn job and stand up for the people, not their wallets.

11. excellent idea......this needs to be the focus...not those lame DICKs
connecting the rubberstampers with the junta executive is by far the most effective means of propagandizing for the good of the nation and the world

propaganda CAN be used for good, btw

just axe the father of modern PR, Edward Bernays.

that was his idea, til the likes of Goebbels, McCarthy, Nixon's admen, Nofziger, Deaver, Rove, etal got ahold of his ideas and perverted them

13. Sorry, but I'll continue to bash both of them. If you stop bashing....
...Bush, you'll give him the opportunity he needs to recover. Is that what you want?

One more comment...as long as the massive election fraud is allowed to continue as it has in 2000, 2002, and 2004, the NeoCons will retain control of both Congress and the Executive Branch.

Both Bush, his admin, and most of Congress
deserve to be bashed.

They are eminently bashable.

Eventhough there was plenty of ammo, bashing Bush simply didn't work in 2004 . We need to beat on the REPUBLICAN US GOVERNMENT and what they've done for the regular guy.

25. OK OK. You CAN continue to bash Bush
but realize, it's just a guilty pleasure. The most productive thing we can do for our country is work to get the Republicans in both houses of Congress defeated in 6 1/2 months.
