I think we should all boycott Exxon
With the price of oil what it is, and then seeing the fucking asshole walking away with gobs and gobs of money that literally came out of OUR pockets, I think we really need to put down our foot and start making the oil companies look like the greedy bastards that they really are.

If you agree, we need to find a way to reach all US citizens and protest this shit. And I think it's important enough to send a message to the oil companies that their greed is disgusting and, frankly, unpatriotic.

3. Won't help, unfortunately, except maybe to make us feel better.
Gasoline and other petroleum products are fungible goods, and boycotting one oil company won't make it or the others charge less. The only way to make a difference is to use less gasoline, period. Read this: http://www.snopes.com/politics/gasoline/gasout.asp

7. An email about this has been making the rounds, and as pointed out...
...by the folks at snopes.com, it just wouldn't work. Here is their reasoning. You may or may not agree with it but I think it's true that Exxon-Mobil will find a market for it's gasoline. In all likelihood, that market will continue to be you and me though we may not realize it.

I think it makes more sense to boycott all gasoline that originates in the Middle East. If you want to do that, below is a list of gasoline retailers you can patronize.

BP, AMOCO, ARCO

PHILLIPS 66, TOSCOPETRO, PHILLIPS PETRO
Phillips 66, Circle K, 76, Kendall, Tosco

KOCH PETRO GROUP LP
Holiday

CITGO PETRO CORP
Citgo, Petro Canada (In Tucson and other towns, Citgo is sold at convenience stores. For a list of Citgo retailers near you, go here: http://www.citgo.com/CITGOLocator/StoreLocator.jsp

MURPHY OIL USA INC
Murphy USA,

CONOCO INC
Conoco

TESORO HAWAII CORP, TESORA PETRO CORP
Tesora

US OIL & REFG CO
Independent Gas Stations in the Pacific Northwest

SUNOCO
Sunoco

HESS
Hess Express

SINCLAIR
