1. I thought it closed at $71.30 with 30 cents more for sweet crude.
I hate what this is doing to the price of everything else, not just a tank of gas.

2. Just remember, the stuff being pumped domestically,
and subsidized with your tax dollars, is being pumped for the same cost at which gasoline sold profitably at 99 cents per gallon.

3. Your prediction there might not be far off at all, and it might be
dead-on right.

Mr. Bush faces a potential revolt on his economic stewardship if he and his Big Oil flunkies can't reign in these gas pump prices.

11. It will be a kind of satisfaction to have red state voters say to others
in barbershops and beauty parlors that electing Bush was a mistake, that they wonder if maybe Gore nad Kerry might have been better for the country.

I'd really like to see/hear that sort of thing, and lots of it.

Enough, say, to sweep a pile of Republicans out of office in November and set up John Conyers on the Judiciary Committee as Chair. There are a few documents we need to subpoena...

4. Nah, it'll top out at $75 unless Stupid starts yapping about
nuking the "akshish of eeeevul" again. That's mainly what's driving the whole thing now, uncertaintly about the stability of future supplies.

Wholesalers are swimming in gasoline, but they're nervous about Stupid and his itchy trigger finger and the stability of their suppliers, too.

However, as we all know, it's two steps forward and one step back.

Oil company people who say it's going back to $40 are dreaming.

5. even if its temporary the profits are huge
Thanks to Bushs planting Nuke scare stories . He planted them to the guy who normally didnt give him good press so we would eat it up. We did. Now with the scare, the oil people can say the threat of nukes and Iran caused the price to rise. No muss, no fuss.
