Hold on to your hat!..I was watching Bloomberg today
Funny I know nothing about the stock market but after listening to the rally today on Bloomberg I said the are going to be a bunch of M & A's...god I hate being right!

1. Also, Euro is rising, Dollar is falling
http://finance.yahoo.com/q/bc?s=EURUSD=X&t=5d

Seems to me this would make stock prices go up, since pricing in constant euros requires higher dollar price. The Fed saying they may stop increasing rates makes the dollar worth less (not worthless, yet, just worth less).

2. housing bubble...gas prices....foreign investors
if the housing bubble hasn't officially "POPPED" it's developed a slow leak

the spin on why NEW HOUSE STARTS were down in March: due to warm winter, many construction jobs were able to continue in January, a colder winter would have put these jobs off until March-April

no new news that gas prices are up

there was also an article a few days ago about foreign investors in US bonds - they are "wary" of buying more due to the DEFICIT and other budgetary/financial concerns about our economy

I'm getting a whiff of a recession looming... especially if the republicans maintain the stranglehold
