Poll question: The main difference between the two American political parties
The GOP protects the status - quo. The Democrats strive to make the playing field fairer for the working class, while protecting the status quo.

Feel free to post any other significant differences within the two parties.

1. The GOP doesn't just want to protect the status quo
They want us to go back to when the status quo was feudalism.

2. Strive???
For the most part, Democrats don't strive to do much except be Republicans-lite. They do have minimally more interest in "protecting" the working class but in the end work for the lobbyists of big money just like the Republicans.

4. most people who say they are dems say "there but for the grace
of God..." most people who say they are repugs say "fuck you I got mine!"

5. "Significant" differences? Is "lesser of two evils" significant?
That seems to be what the Dems cling to as their rallying cry to keep the locksteppers in line and contributing.
