After watching many of his performances, i have come to the conclusion that this is ALL scotty had:
"Thank you, I appreciate the question" - because it now gives me the opportunity to say my talking points without any real answer to the original question.
"We have a policy of not discussing an ongoing investigation" - that we came up with so that we don't have to answer these questions that are not pretty, now go away or i'll say it again.
"You are over-analyzing the situation" - because you are looking at the heart of it when i want you to look at the pretty flowers that i have had placed in the press room.
"The president discussed this earlier, i suggest you go back and look at his comments" - because you asked a question more specific than the comments he made, and i can't get into specifics because that would show our real intention.
"The president has full confidence in the job that XXX is doing" - that's right, he's confident that XXX has the job, that's what i really mean.
"Now is not the time to play the blame game/to start pointing fingers." - because if we did that, the administration would have too many fingers pointed at us.
"The democrats are just playing politics." - because they are saying something. Whenever the democrats open their mouths, that is playing politics.
Thanx for serving at the pleasure of the Resident Scottie. Now go away.
edit for tense correction and to add other suggestions. (thanx)
