Tweety's Playing Gotcha With Barlett On War=Cheap Gas
He just got Barlett on the record to say - twice - that the administration NEVER said the
war would bring cheaper gas. Then - after Bartlett leaves - Tweety pulls up a speech
by Lawrence Lindsay "that my staff dug up" where Lindsay says exactly that, ie war=cheap gas.

"So, he (Bartlett) got caught on that one, David (Gregory)."

If Tweets is going after bushco in this manner, they are toast.

1. Except Tweety let Bartlett go without confronting him WITH the tape first.
That's a subtle difference in how they play the game to make it easier on BushInc.

2. Exactly! For all his bluster, Tweets is basically spineless.

3. No, that was probably a smart decision...
...why give the Admin shill a chance to obfuscate, spin, change the subject, counter-accuse, blahblahblah...

He had him cold, and got in the last word (as it were) making it crystal clear.

Good tactics. Someone else must have come up with the idea.

cheaply,
Bright

4. Someone on DU
mentioned a comment by cheney* in 98. "A sure sign of a failed presidency is high gas prices."Does any one know if he actually said that? Good info for KO.
