Quit treating the Duke case like it's another basketball game. The season
is over.

You people screaming about "innocent" "guilty" etc are making me sick.

I have used the damned ignore feature; on threads and on individuals. It's not helping--I felt better when I was trying to describe to posters how very much I despised their characters--their very fucking presence on this board.

I am probably two steps from Skinner telling me to personally go to hell and cut off my account because of this shit. I can't even log onto DU without reading this bullshit.

Something happened to this woman, and it's not in the news to be joked around on DU like there's a fucking scoreboard.

What happened to her at the party? I don't know that, but I can sure as tell you with 100% certainty that a woman having to work as a stripper to support her children and attend school is the victim of the whole sick fucking society that we live in.

The fact that people are treating this issue as entertainment makes me think that the US is wayyy sicker than even I thought.

I don't want to get banned: I love this place. But, damn...

1. You can say that with 100% certainty,.

But your level of certainty does not make a statement fact. There ARE a couple of strippers who post here (at least they did prior to being labeled as either victims or immoral sluts,) and neither of them seems to feel the victim for it.

I agree that this whole issue should be treated with a greater amount of seriousness, but to paint all dancers as victims really seems to be an insult to them.
