I couldn't find text of what Michael Meacher said, but here's text of the exchange with The Merciless One:
http://www.libdems.org.uk/news/blair-equivocal-on-military-action-in-iran.htmlTony Blair did not rule out military action in Iran when pressed on the issue in today's Prime Ministers Questions by the Liberal Democrat Leader, Sir Menzies Campbell MP.
In addition to asking the Prime Minister to clarify what he meant by the 'clear and united message' that he felt the world ought to be sending to the Iranian regime, Sir Menzies asked:
"Is there any military option, including nuclear weapons, that the Prime Minister would rule out?"
Whilst Tony Blair said:
"Nobody is talking about military invasion or military action against Iran."
He also added:
"...It is important that we take action if Iran continues to be in breach of its obligations."
In addition, the Prime Minister also said that President Bush's refusal to take any option off the table was 'perfectly sensible'.
