I have borne the insults, the ridicule, and the ostracism for 25 years. I've been called an extremist, an embarrassment, a conspiracy theorist, chicken little, radical, naive, a fool, you name it, mostly by the "it could never happen here" herd.

Well, here we are in the 21st Century, our country has been seized by a cabal of looters, our infrastructure has crumbled, the economy is on the verge of collapse, elections are fraudulent exercises in futility, our primary schools are turning out barely functional illiterates, grade inflation has made our colleges and universities laughing stocks around the world, the ivy league regularly graduates people that think "decider" is not only a word but an occupation as well, our means of production has been sold off and shipped over-seas to our "friends", shopping has become our national pastime and patriotic duty, The Constitution has been shredded and a majority of the sheeple see no problem with that, we have millions living and dying in the streets, millions more poised to join them with the loss of 2 or 3 paychecks, 50 million without access to what remains of our health care system, Corporate monopolies or cartels controlling our most essential industries all with no supervision nor recourse, mercenaries on the streets of our cities acting with government support and without legal restraints, that same city has been allowed to drown and be swept away, our natural legacy has been sold off with no bids at a laughable fraction of its worth to be plundered and the proceeds sent off shore to various tax havens,...

So, feel free to add what I've overlooked, and if you're one of those that think things are not all that bad and once the Democratic Wing of The Corporate Party is back in power, they'll make everything better,

Moreover, although I realize the "Democratic" representation moved blindly, even selfishly, into our present realm, they are still the party that holds MY HOPE. We have Democrats, far more than a handful, who are doing their fucking best to change our course, while the Republicans are screwing our people every which way and then some.

I can't apologize to you for changing registration from independent to democrat the last three elections. My "independence" means nothing without the weight of a party that does far better for me and my child than the fuckers-in-charge. I'm being pragmatic without sacrificing my ideals for the future.
