Bush: US must compete with China
How? By competing to see who will work for the lowest wages in the most dangerous conditions? Is being desperate wage slave a "skill set"?

"Bush singled out the world's two most populous nations one day before Chinese President Hu Jintao's scheduled visit to the White House. Bush noted that event and his recent trip to India.

"These countries are emerging nations," Bush said in a speech at Tuskegee University. "They are growing rapidly and they provide competition for jobs and natural resources.

"As these new jobs of the 21st century come into being, people are going to hire people with the skills set," he said. "And if our folks don't have the skill set, those jobs are going to go somewhere else."

1. Liar...
They are going to outsource jobs whether Americans have the skills or not. They are more worried about a profit than they are about an employee.

2. I'm getting real tired of this idiot
constantly blaming the American people for everything. Now we are all at fault for not having the right "skill sets"? The fact of the matter is the American middle class can't be maintained at it present level of wages compared to the cheap labor utilized in other countries. Why the hell do these pro big business at all cost repukes think it's all right to sacrifice the middle class for their sugar daddies bottom lines. Will people ever wake the hell up and get these ass hats out of Washington D.C.. Give me a break!!!!!!!!!!!!!

4. I'd say
"Why the hell do these pro big business at all cost repukes think it's all right to sacrifice the middle class for their sugar daddies bottom lines."

probably for the same reasons you don't think it's fair. That's just how their brain works.

5. Henry Ford ran into the problem that no one or very few made enough
money to buy his model T. So Henry raised the wages of the employees so that he could creat a class that could afford one.

8. let`s see....
we designed in the usa just about every fuck`n bit of technology that is running this planet today. so the guy who has --failed--at everything he has done in his--entire--life is telling us we have no skills? well i have alot of skills but there are no jobs for them. why? because all the stuff i used to make is made overseas and south of the border by some poor guys getting paid ten cents an hour and enduring working conditions that no one in the usa would endure.
god dam i am sick of this guy blaming the american people for his failures.
